SCTC members also have access to Rate Explorer, a comprehensive Internet-based search tool for ocean carrier shipping rates. The website shows all negotiated and contracted, “all-in” prepaid, collect charges and transit times for each destination. If you’re not yet a member of SCTC we invite you to join us. We offer a range of memberships. Members and Associate members enjoy a range of benefits:

Member Application

Any company that is located within the United States, whether individual, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, limited liability company or other business form, which is involved in the sales, marketing and distribution of specialty crops such dried fruit, tree nuts or kindred products, may submit a written request for Membership to the President of the Association. This is a voting membership.

Any such person shall be eligible for Membership on approval of their written request by the Board and the payment of such dues and fees as the Board may fix from time to time.

Membership dues for regular members vary from $200 per quarter for the smallest companies to $750 per quarter for the largest. Benefits of membership include:

Use of negotiated group shipping rates

Use of the export contract

Use of Specialty Crop Trade Council/CDFEA dispute resolution/arbitration

Members are eligible for a 10% discount on Laboratory Services. (only if do not quality for membership in American Council for Food Safety and Quality )

Eligible for listing on the SCTC website.

Eligible to attend SCTC sponsored meetings.

Associate Member Application

Click here to download an application for Associate membership (transportation and related businesses.) An Associate member is a non-voting membership offered to those involved in the servicing of dried fruit, tree nuts and kindred products. Associate memberships are available to both domestic and international applicants.

The dues for Associate Members are $500 USD per year.

Eligible to attend SCTC sponsored meetings.

International Member Application

Any company that is located outside of the United States, whether individual, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, limited liability company or other business form, which is involved in the sales, marketing and distribution of specialty crops such dried fruit, tree nuts or kindred products, may submit a written request for International Membership to the President of the Association. International Members are non-voting.

Any such person shall be eligible for International Membership on approval of their written request by the Board and the payment of such dues and fees as the Board may fix from time to time. Dues for International Members are $1200 USD per year. Benefits of your membership include:

Use of negotiated group shipping rates.

Use of the SCTC export contract.

Use of Specialty Crop Trade Council/CDFEA dispute resolution and arbitration services.

Members are eligible for a 10% discount on Laboratory Services.

Eligible for listing on SCTC website.

Eligible to attend SCTC sponsored meetings.
